Project Movement is Medicine
Movement is Medicine is EBAN’s foundational belief and driving force behind our encouragement and support for Black women integrating physical activity into their daily lives.
The entire EBAN family is committed to enriching Black women’s lives, through dance, walking, running, swimming, yoga, climbing, gym workouts, cycling, and all other physical activities that lead us to a return to a healthier and more normal life.
#MovementIsMedicine is all about inspiring Black women to incorporating physical activity into their lives as a foundational step toward holistic wellness.
We’ll be supported by the voices of Dr. Brittany Griffin, an Afrikan-centered psychotherapist and Assistant Professor at Florida A&M University, and Madison Feeland, a Division 1 Collegiate swimmer for Howard University, passionate Gym Girlie and natural hair expert.
Together we’ll provide authentic and actionable dialogue and guidance tailored to the unique health, movement and personal alignment challenges within the Black community.
EBAN’s Movement is Medicine Program is uniquely designed for the Black women to help her find joy, solace, purpose and health in various forms of physical activities.
From executives balancing work and wellness to family women that prioritize everyone but themselves, every woman who values wholistic health should be able to find something helpful here.

EBAN is an Akan Adinkra symbol meaning “fence”, a symbol of the security and safety one finds around the home and also finds in love.
I’m EBAN, the Akan Adinkra symbol meaning “fence of protection”, a symbol of the security and safety one finds around the home and that one also finds in love.
Just like a fence protects a home, EBAN protects your hair and skin from the harshness of chlorine, salt, sweat, and sun, so that you can lead a more active healthier life.
I want you to enjoy the gym, the pool, the beach and the great outdoors as a foundational step to creating a healthier holistic lifestyle.
My goal is to empower Black women to embrace their natural hair, challenge themselves physically, and be true to themselves in all areas of life.
