Your Pace is the Right Pace.

I’ve spent years watching us stand on the edge of the pool, the track, and the gym floor, doing that silent “hair math.” We calculate the sweat, the humidity, and the hours of wash-day recovery, and too often, we decide to stay still.

Swim. Sweat. Shine!

is a love letter to the women who decided to stop calculating and start moving. This isn’t a series about professional athletes or world records. It’s about the Pacesetters—the “regular” women who decided that their fitness, their mental health, and their personal joy were worth the effort. My role here is simple: I provide the “fence of protection” for their crown so they can focus entirely on the finish line. I’m here to make sure that when they finish their journey, their hair is just as vibrant as their spirit.

EBAN Pacesetters: Leading by Example

A Pacesetter isn’t the woman in first place; she’s the woman who shows others it’s okay to start. These women are mothers, executives, and neighbors who are carving out 45 to 90 days to accomplish something just for themselves. They are documenting the early mornings, the sore muscles, and the internal shifts that happen when you finally put yourself first.

Follow their stories, feel their nerves, and see how they are setting a new pace for all of us.

Will YOU Set the Pace Next?

Every movement needs a spark, and your journey might be the very thing that gives another woman the permission she needs to start. We are looking for heart-led women who are ready to embrace a personal challenge and show the world that our hair is never a reason to stay still.

What we’re looking for in an EBAN Pacesetter?

The “perfect” Pacesetter isn’t the one with the fastest mile; she’s the woman who is tired of the “hair math” and ready to choose herself. We are searching for authentic voices who believe that moving our bodies and nurturing our crowns are both essential acts of self-love.

  • The “Starting Line” Spirit: You have a specific challenging physical goal you’ve been putting off—like a half or full marathon, a mud run, or learning to swim—and you’re finally ready to commit.
  • The Active Naturalista: You currently wear your hair in its natural state (coils, curls, or protective styles) and refuse to let sweat or chlorine dictate your worth.
  • The Method Evolution: You are willing to pull back the curtain on your current hair process (even if it’s a struggle) and are excited to adopt the EBAN Method to see how a dedicated “fence of protection” transforms your routine.
  • Product Integration & Advocacy: You’re willing to swap your old products for the EBAN system and will authentically feature and promote them as your primary hair care support through every mile or lap.
  • A Heart for Community: You enjoy sharing your life with others and believe that being “real” about your struggles is more important than being “perfect.”
  • Consistency Over Intensity: You are committed to showing up for yourself at least 3–4 times a week, documenting the small wins just as much as the big ones.
  • A “Folksy” Storyteller: You are comfortable speaking to a camera as if you’re talking to a close friend, sharing the raw and unpolished moments of your day.
  • The “Hair Math” Graduate: You are eager to ditch the old rules of “I can’t work out today because I just washed my hair” and want to show others how to do the same.
  • Supportive & Encouraging: You are willing to engage with the EBAN community, offering a digital high-five to other women who are inspired by your journey.
  • The Wellness-Minded Woman: You prioritize plant-based, natural ingredients and care about what goes onto your body just as much as what goes into it.
  • A 45-to-90 Day Commitment: You are willing to stick with your goal for the duration of the series, showing the full arc of your transformation from Day 1 to the finish line.
  • A “Loud & Unapologetic” Attitude: You believe that Black women deserve to take up space in every arena—from the hiking trail to the triathlon transition zone.

As an EBAN Pacesetter, you’ll get the tools to keep your hair protected and a platform to show other women that they can do it, too.
